NITI Aayog announces his revised NITI Internship Program in place of previous guidelines from October 3, 2017. This program is designed to engage undergraduate/postgraduate/graduate aspiring students.

A degree or Research Fellow enrolled as an 'Intern' at an accredited university/institution in India or abroad. These "interns" will be exposed to various verticals/departments/units within NITI Aayog and are expected to complement the analytical process within NITI Aayog through experiential collection and collation of internal and other information. . For 'interns' who study the workings of the Indian government, it can be an aid in furthering their future interests. Internships are unpaid.


Scheme:



1. System name:

NITI Internship Program.


2. Purpose:

To enable the “selected candidates” to join various sectors/sectors/units of her NITI Aayog of the Government of India as “interns” on a short term basis. A list of domain areas where internships are offered is attached as Appendix "A".


3. PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

This program has the following objectives:

4. Internships:


(i) Internships are available throughout the year based on NITI Aayog requirements.

a. To enable young academic talent to be associated with the work of NITI Aayog for mutual benefit.

(ii) Eligibility:

Any bona fide student of an accredited university/educational institution in India or abroad who meets the following criteria is eligible to apply for an internship:



a. Bachelor's degree students who have completed/displayed the final exam for the fourth semester of the second year of the Bachelor's degree program and achieved at least 85% or equivalent in grade 12.

b. Graduate students who have completed/attended the final exams of the first year/second semester of a graduate program, or graduate students pursuing a research/doctoral degree. Have a score of 70% or above or equivalent at the time of graduation.

c.Students who have passed the final exam or who have just completed a degree/PG and are awaiting admission to higher education are also eligible for internships if they are ranked 7th in all years/semesters of the degree/position. may be regarded as Total score or higher ・Completed by the application deadline. The period from the month in which the results of the final examination are known to the month in which the internship is requested must not exceed 6 months.

(iii) Term:

The duration of her internship is no less than 6 weeks and no more than 6 months. A certificate of completion will not be issued to interns who have not completed the prescribed hours.


5. Logistics and Support:

Interns must carry a laptop. NITI Aayog sha11 will provide them with workstations, internet facilities and other necessities as deemed appropriate by the leaders concerned. 


6. Applicant Procedures and Conditions:


Interested applicants can only apply online from the 1st to her 10th of each month using the address links provided on the NITI Aayog website. Applications can be made from 6 months in advance, but please apply at least 2 months in advance of the month in which you wish to have an internship.

7. Experience Certificate:

A certificate of completion of the internship will be issued by the supervisor of each department.

(vii) Seminars/presentations may be conducted for the intern by relevant heads of specific industries/departments/units and her OSD/senior consultants. 3.8 Attendance - During an internship at NITI Aayog, candidates must attend for at least 75 hours and mark sunrise and sunset times each day. If her attendance rate is less than 75%, the internship period will not be extended and no proof of experience will be issued. Attendance tallies and labor inspection details are maintained by the Vertical/Department/Unit and OSD/Senior Consultant/Consultant Officers.


9. It is important to note that the conduct of interns and access to their data is the sole responsibility of the consultant/sector manager involved.


10. Schema Validation:
